Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

I've always thought that people should have to visit a restaurant at least twice in order to review it. There are always off nights where, for whatever reason, they are short staffed or or dozens of other problems that can make the job of the server or cook more difficult. On a second or third visit you find out if the problems were just one bad night or are deep-seated. With that being said, this was my first time at this restaurant (hypocrite?). The service was great here. The place was very busy, especially for a Sunday night, but when I sat down at the bar I was still greeted immediately with a menu the specials and a drink order. Everything was brought to me promptly and tasted as I expected it to be. Give the place a chance, the low Yelp reviews do not reflect the service I experienced and I imagine that of many many others.

How does this place run out of beer?!?? I always get bad service in this place. I forget. I go back and get bad service again. I ordered Stella for $3 during HH. The waiter comes back and says they don't have anymore. The waiter denied me an IPA.

Courteous servers. I think they mean well but I get the impression they would rather be anywhere else but here. Except for Jazmine from Torrance, she is awesome. Prepare to wait about 10 minutes for a cocktail. Not the servers' fault. But still. It's the ONLY place around and that really sucks. This is a prime location for competition! Fridays. It is what it is. Meh.

Wish I could put no stars. This place sucks. Don't waste your gas money getting here. Staff looks drunk. Food is cold and presentation horrid. McDonald's is better.

I don't normally write bad reviews. But I felt this place really deserved this one. I have been to this location twice before with slow, iffy service, but hey gotta give a place a chance right? Not for this location. Worst meal and service I feel I have ever received at a restaurant. When my boyfriend and I arrived it was 7pm and were told that to be seated in the dinning area it would be 15 mins. No problem. The hostess seemed nice and less then 15 mins passed and we were called up, great. When we were seated it took a few mins for our server to reach our table to tell us he will be with us in a minute. We had noticed it was somewhat busy and we were still debating on what we wanted so that was ok. 5 more minutes go by and the waiter puts two glasses of water on our table and leaves without saying a word. We waited patiently for our waiter to come by to take our drink order, he walks by taps our table mumbles something and walks away. Finally he stops by and takes our drink order, at that time we had been waiting 20 minutes. 20 MINUETS to place our drink order. I order an unsweetened iced tea and my boyfriend gets a coke. We also mention to our server that we are ready to order, I ordered a burger and he ordered some ribs. He nods and says he will go and place the order for us. Eventually brings the drinks we ordered without a word again and leaves. 55 minuets later, as we sat with absolutely nothing in front of us, no refills, and a quiet dismissive passing comment of 'your food will be out soon' from our server. Our food arrives. It was repulsive. My burger was sloppily put together and had obviously been sitting for ages. The cheese that was spilling out the sides of my burger had solidified. Oil and other juices had pooled at the base of my burger; I touch it and it is luke warm. My fries that are room temperature have soaked up the juices from the plate and are soggy. I'm normally not picky about my food but this was bad. My boyfriends ribs are burnt, dry and without sauce at all on top. We would have sent the food back if we weren't starving. So we started to eat. The bun of my burger was solid. Everything inside had coagulated and the meat was so well done they were tough pucks of beef. This was THE absolute worst burger I have EVER had, I ate what I could and left most of it in a pile of mush. Our server never asked how the food was or checked in on us. But finally he stopped by at around 8:30ish to refill my boyfriends coke and we asked for a check. We knew it wasn't worth complaining to anyone, none of the servers seemed to really care. So we waited another 5 minuets for our server to ignore us and eventually return and ring us up, we paid for our worst meal ever and left. And are never going back.

Today, I ordered some ghost pepper wings. I called ahead to inquire about the wings, and asked if they were in sauce or a dry rub. I was told dry rub. I go to pick up the wings and I barely glanced at them inside the bag (wrong move, I know). I get home and open up the box again to start eating and lo and behold, they're covered in sauce. I know I should have looked closely at the box before accepting them, but what the hell is wrong with people that when you ask a simple question over the phone they can't give you the right answer?? I mean, you work there! Isn't this your job?? This is not my first shitty experience at TGI Fridays, but it will certainly be my last. I'm giving up on this place, at least this location, for sure.

Yelp I just hate the fact that we are forced to give one star to stablishments that deserve none, but ok....there is no other way... Went there Sunday for lunch, we had one baby 1 year old, a 4 year old, 6 and 9, and us three adults, we come in, restaurant isn't full though we waited for around 15 min to be seated. Ok I'll take that , logistics logistics.... I come here due to the drinks that are good a little watered down but I don't need to be drunk with 4 kids. So we get to the table at 2:15 server comes 5 min aftwr and I ask I'd we can order food for the kids, just so I could get a head start on their food cus they were hungry, she stops me in between and says, "drinks first" oh ok....so I ask for kids drinks and she says no ... this is the order I am taking the drinks pointing out clock wise, hummm mm as I got irritated I complied. Continue order drinks and then I say let me order for the kids....2 spaghetti with marinara sauce, one mac and cheese for baby and an endless app of wings for the 9 year old....she leaves..I call her to order our food...20 min later she comes and tells me my drink is out so I reorder, and then drinks come...I was not happy kids food was taking so long...and remember I ordered ahead... My appetizer comes 5 min later, no kids food, I call manager about it and he says well maybe there is a delay, and I say kids can't wait I order on time and there is no one coming to check on us no drink refills nothing and he says ur server is back there why didn't u ask? I am like whaaattt.. I say can u go check please ...I was angry at the answer he gave me...he doesn't come back and then two spaghetti come and Mac and cheese and salads, my other kid nothing...and I go nuts....we are talking by now it was 3 pm and my kid was sharing with the other cus he was so hingry, I got up and told the server we are leaving, woman manager comes and she says do u want the food and I say no, I just want to leave, she insist and I say no, she says let me then bring u the bill, ok now I will be charged....they only gave me a 50 dollar bill out of 124 total, we'll I didn't come here to get a free meal, so I pay and she tries to apologize.....NOOOOOOOO, U NEVER CHARGE A CUSTOMER THAT HAS CLEARLY BEEN MISHANDLED ...oh well no wonder this place is a dump...chain name doesn't care obviously cus two stars doesn't catch their attention.... Not not not coming back whoever comes to this place clearly doesn't understand what customer service is. From management to servers no one clearly cares...what is the point of a manager if him and her have an attitude when a mother sees her kid hungry. .....panera here go come..

I'll start by saying I came here around 8:30 on a Friday night. The place was packed - not a seat at the bar and it was a 30-minute wait for a table. Once we got a table, we were served promptly. Our drinks were VERY strong (no complaints here!) The reason I gave this 3 stars was because of the service. Our food and drinks were prompt, but our server didn't clear any of our plates until the end - we were at a two-person booth - even after we were finished with our appetizer. And I had to ask for extra napkins from a different waiter.

Let me start by saying that we had a 20 person reservation for 8pm (birthday dinner). We waited and waited and we weren't seated until 8:40pm. Half of our table showed up and we placed appetizer and drink orders. A couple minutes passed and everyone showed up and more drink orders were placed. By then, it was already 9. Let's just say that it took 20 minutes to get waters and it took longer to get a couple long islands. Appetizers didn't come out till 9:45pm and our dinner came out around 10pm. The servers were terrible! We didn't get refills on our waters, our food was like warm, and some of our orders were forgotten. We asked to speak to the manager about the situation and all he said was "okay, we will get them out as soon as possible". The manager didn't seem to care much and we even had one of our members drinking and she had to nibble on celery because it took one hour for her chicken and broccoli to come out. The service was just.. TERRIBLE! How can you have a large group drinking and not even have appetizers ready? I can honestly say that this TGIF IS SOME SHIT. Excuse my French but I cannot even deal with writing this review. Sigh, so let me continue.. The salmon with "fresh" salad and rice was terrible. The rice was hard and too sticky. The salmon was dry and it did not have much flavor. The salad was not fresh and the portion was just..unfortunate. Almost as if someone had spilled some tomatoes and baby strips of cheese. The Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta was okay. Not the best that I've had but it was edible. Sloppy presentation. To sum it all up for you..the servers were unprofessional and terrible at their job, the food was even worse, the drinks were all watered down, and the manager didn't seen to care one bit. Sigh, oh my goodness.. I swear this was by far THEEE WORST! I will not be returning!

My fav all American restaurant in my good old high school days! And that was about the last time I visited a TGI Friday. With their returned endless appetizers offer, I decided it was worth a revisit especially with my parents who had never been. For $12 per person, my parents learned that american cuisine goes beyond ginormous burgers and steaks. Props to our waiter, Israel, for continuously replenishing our orders - 12 platters of Mozzarella sticks, BBQ chicken flatbread, chicken tostadas, boneless wings (Memphis BBQ. Parmesan garlic), and my old time fav - potato skins. I was a bit bummed that they were out of bacon mac and cheese bites - but nothing an extra order (or 2) of BBQ chicken flatbread couldn't fix! Although we enjoyed the food and service, we only see TGI Friday as "once in a few year" treat - I think I woke up three times from indigestion that night. My no longer teenage stomach might not show as much love for TGIF as it used to but my heart still agrees TGIF as her fav American chain around.

Where do I begin? After a softball game and grocery shopping, my fiancée and I decided to stop by for a beverage or 3 and some food. Friday's always has some type of mix drink specials and $5 apps that made it seem like a sensible choice. (Disclaimer: we have been to this Friday's a few times and always got good service from the bartenders.) The reason for the disclaimer is because I wanted this review to carry merit from our multiple experiences with Friday's, and to inform the readers that what is coming next will be real. The few times my fiancée and I were there, we notice the patrons are what brings this place down. If you read my other reviews, my baby and I like to frequent dive bars mostly, and bars the have good eye candy for all. Well not Friday's (at night). Friday's has always been a sausage fest, but that is no big deal because I bring my own sand to the beach. The main problem with this is the low rent mentality that many of the patrons seem to display. Once again, didn't really bother me much, because I have my lady with me and as long as they leave me be, I have no issues. However, with this mentality in the air, it's easy to see that this place would only get worst. With all that blah blah said, let's talk about last night. We walk into Friday's around 10pm, and mofos are fighting in the bar area! Grown a$$ adults literally fighting. You would think at this point, I should leave...nooope not us, we take our seat at the bar and watch the crowd of people run, rumble, and work to push the disturbance outside. MoCo's finest finally show up and control the situation. I know it's wrong for me to blame Friday's for their customers actions, and what we gathered, the staff did jump in to attempt to control the situation. However...here is why Friday's got one star. - because i couldn't rate them a zero - because the LACK of control the manager possessed with his employees. Allowing employees to still run their mouths about the situation long after the police had dissolved the situation did not make the remaining customers night better. Allowing ALL your bar employees to stand around while the police are there and the customers needs become second or third. - because if you (manager) are going to allowing your employees and involved customers sit around talking about it, YOU CANNOT SIT AROUND AND TALK ABOUT IT WITH THEM. - because Friday's allow kids (under 18, but we also saw kids under 12) in the bar area, even after this fight. - because EVERYONE knew each other. Meaning, if you have approx 30 people in the bar area, and ALL 30 seem to know each other by first name, including the manager, there is something wrong. We love dives and respect bar personnel creating a family atmosphere with everyone knowing each other. this is normal and appreciated by us. Friday's though? It's not a dive, and how do you get so friendly with patrons that look to barely be over 21 (questionable). Following a fight, this lends me to believe that week in week out, these same folks are at Friday's. - because the manager allowed the other patrons (ones that seem to not start the fight, but took pleasure in jumping in to throw punches and kicks, to stay in the restaurant. I feel all involved parties should have been asked to leave immediately. Get the negative vibe out and show that crap will not be tolerated, regardless of fault. - because after the fight and all had cleared (11pm), the doors were still open like nothing happened, and all we saw were more MFing young a$$ dudes coming in. I feel the doors should have been locked at this time especially 1045-11pm. No new customers, and allow existing customers to complete their meal with peace of mind. (You don't really get to relax when you overhear the manager telling his friends/customers that the assailants ran away. One with some common sense would feel a little threatened that someone could double back, re-enter with the intent to cause serious damage or get revenge. Who knows? But lock the f'ing door. - finally, because we will never go back. It's a shame too, because it's right up the street from our house. Their food is consistent and special are ok. They offer music and good people watching. The shame comes from the lack of authority there and the feeling of a free for all. - this place needs security just to give the presence of authority. I know anyone that reads this review may be foolish enough to think that race and/or sex strongly influence my review. Noooope, wrong. If that was the case, I would not have returned after a few visits. We have tried to give this place a chance, only to be disappointed with the bullsh*t from the restaurant not being able to get out of its own way. I will end with this. If you work everyday for your money, have love for people, and enjoy the simpler or fancier things in life...avoid this place. If you are a b*tcha$$ and a low rent simpleton. This place is for you. Thanks

Would give zero stars if could, we went there this past sunday and couldn't regret it more, we were a party of 7 with 4 hungry kids, got seated fairly quick but our waitress took 15 min to come and get our drink order, then we place order for food and appetizers at once since it was taking her a while to comeback,t the place was not too busy, 40 min went by and no food no drink refills and kids were restless; we asked a different server for the manager, the manager said he would look in to it, and like 10 min later we got one appetizer, 5 min later food for 3 kids and 5 min after that the entree salads we ordered, all brought by other servers and my fourth kid had no food and was sharing with the other, all these in over 1 hr of seating and our server was ignoring us , she did not come to check if our food was ok or get any refills, we finally decided to call the manager and his response when we asked why this was happening was " why don't you ask your server, she is right behind you" and we were like well she doesn't even come to our table!! So we asked for the check and left the food there. Needless to say we are NEVER coming back.

TGI Fridays' food tastes good, but like so many restaurants the food is way over-salted and the calorie count is based on the caloric requirements of an overactive elephant. If you're an anorexic in desperate need of an evening of untrammeled weight gain, Fridays is definitely the place to go. And don't be fooled by the "Ghost" name in the Ghost Pepper wings. I had these last night and they're nowhere near Ghost Pepper heat. I'd say they're Jalapeño strength. They're not even Habanero hot.

Pleasant attentive staff, clean and modern environment, well prepared food served in a timely manner (only 4 stars because the quality of the steak was only good not great). Nice place, good food for a reasonable price.

The one star is because the manager was nice. I'll keep it short and sweet. I don't have high expectations for chain restaurants to begin with. We waited 30 minutes for drinks (one glass of wine and a mojito). We waited 40 minutes and his food came out cold. My food came out after an hour wait - 20 mins after his did. We only ordered appetizers. We left and went someplace where we could actually get our food. Oh. I also saw one of the busboys wipe the seats and then wipe the table with the same wipe. I know it happens but I hate to see it when my food is put on the table. Disappointing.

I'm currently here at TGI friday, as i have read, the renovations have made service very slow. Also the restaurant is dirty. There is dried food on my drink napkin. And since the renovations have started, they got new menus with $2 dollar increases on prices on their meat products. Its not worth the frozen food when chick-Fil-a and Panera are very close. I am adding a star just for the waitress, she was bombarded with multiple tables but she was good enough.

This place has an average rating of 2 stars?! That's odd because in my personal experience here, they deserved 4 stars! There was only 1 thing that I thought was lazy on their part but understandable. 12 of us came here after church and was seated after about a 5 minute wait. I never got the name of our waiter but he says "Hola" to greet us. He's a very energetic and outgoing guy so that was good because we were all having a good time. When there's a group of us out at a restaurant, we always have a good time no matter where we are. I guess it's not hard to please me. The Hola guy was prompt and made us feel comfortable. We ordered our drinks first then our entrees after. Before he left to put the orders in, I asked him if he could make separate checks for 9 people. He said okay. We got our drinks around 5 minutes later which wasn't bad considering how busy they were. And we got our food maybe around 30-40 minutes later. I got their Jack Daniels Burger, Medium Rare with fries and JD sauce. I also got the Whiskey Cake with a shot of Baileys for dessert. My brother got the Oreo cake which I had a bite of. Everybody else got whatever they got and for the most part enjoyed their meals. The burger was flavorful and even when the burger was well done :( it was still tender. Just not really juicy. The fries were pretty good until you dip it in the Jack Daniels sauce and they were even better! The dessert was good too. When you get your spoon and get a little bit of everything then consuming the delicious mess into your belly; from the cold ice cream to the warm and fluffy toffee cake smothered by the alcohol and fudge. Delicious. I also had a bite off of my brother's Oreo cake and it was pretty good. It's more like an Oreo ice cream cake. Then when we got our check, it was 1 check for the 12 of us. I guess he was either lazy to make them all separate or he didn't have time or what but it took us like 20 minutes just to handle the check efficiently. We had some Math Majors in the group and it was tough for them to do the math between 12 people. I should have taken a star off for that BUT it didn't take the fun away because while we were waiting, we all were just having a good time. So Mr. Hola guy, you were lucky this time! :) Out of a 275 dollar bill, he got a 70 dollar tip. I was too busy having fun that I didn't realize the decor of the place, the little specs of food under the table on the floor or how they got some of our orders mixed up. It didn't take the fun out of my experience there, mostly because of the people I was with. But either way, this place was good.

OMG what IS this place?!! Stopped in on a Thursday evening for a quick bite to eat- was "greeted" by the MOST OBNOXIOUS, loud bass-bumping "club" music I have EVER heard. In a chain restaurant of all places? The point of a chain is that I should be able to walk into one anywhere in the country and have a similar experience. Whomever the manager is at this location needs to get control of it stat. Asked to be seated as far away from the bar as possible, and could literally FEEL the bass beats thumping through the booth seat. Needless to say, we left before our waters even arrived. How appalling, rude and flat out annoying. Will be contacting TGI Fridays' corporate office too....this should not be allowed. (Note- no, I'm not old and grumpy- music in the bar area is fine, but when it's so loud that you can't even think, let alone talk to your dining companions, and you can FEEL the bass in your seat, it's time to turn it down a notch or two.....) Will never be back, and will likely pass on any and all TGIF's I pass in my travels from now on. Would give 0 stars if I could.

I've learned to loosen up and not expect much from chains in order to have a good time. There's only so much a place with a bike on the wall can do. On a slow Saturday afternoon, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Our server was really nice and took our orders promptly, and checked on us 3-4 times throughout the meal. My Jack Daniels chicken sandwich is a fat girl's dream, with cheese, bacon, and onion straws. I thought it was decent, even if the chicken breast was kinda small. Oh and the honey mustard sauce turned the bun into a soggy mess. But the French fries were crisp and seasoned perfectly with salt and pepper. The hostess was also nice, opening the door for us on the way in, and then smiling and thanking us on the way out.

Waited 35 mins before I had to tell someone that no one came over to take my order. When I addressed it, I got a "sorry I didnt know". Anyway, not the first time I got horrible service at this location.

I live closer to this location than the one in Rockville - the Rockville location is sooo much better when it comes to their operation. I come here at least once a month to take advantage of either a monthly promo or to use up my stripes points. Environment: Came here for lunch and dinner. Lunch is good because you'll be able to find parking. Dinner time weekdays or weekends (anytime after 5pm) good luck on finding parking. This place is always packed for dinner so expect to wait 10 minutes or more. Service: Rule of thumb: you know you have a great server, if your water glass is never empty for more than 5 minutes. If your glass has been empty for more than 5 minutes, then do not expect much from your server. Getting great service at this location is like the holy grail, a crap shoot. The reason this place is packed because the service is slow ... i do not know if its the kitchen's fault or the server, but it is slow which is why they do not have a high turn-over on tables. Do not come here super hungry, even the apps and water takes too long to get to your table. Food: nothing to complain - it is tasty. If this place tighten up on their operation, this could be so much better than the one in Rockville. Avoid coming here during Kids Night, trust me.

This location has had a nice makeover! However the service was terrible took forever to order drinks. The the drinks came with dinner. She was very pushy and overwhelmed.

Ridiculous. Sunday night at 6 o'clock and the music from the bar is drowning out everything. So loud and obnoxious. Honestly sounds like a club at 12:00am. Its obvious there is no responsible manager on duty and I doubt corporate Fridays would permit this. Terrible place for kids if this is the way they are going to continue. Plus, the crowd outside the bar far outnumbers the bar crowd and is made up of mostly of folks over 60. I am certain nobody wants to hear this.

Horrible experience. We were quick to be seated and greeted by server. Drinks took forever and so did food. Appetizer came out with food. Server never checked on us or offered refills. Never going back to this location

This Fridays location has been a good choice the few times I have been here with my family or on a date night. New menu items and affordable food make it work. It was perfect for our Father's Day "lunner" aka late lunch+dinner per my sister. Most other options required reservations or would have had long waits. Efficient wait staff can make or break a good dining out experience. Our server was excellent with how he handled our table and others in his section. He triple checked orders and followed up after dishes came out. Our food was mostly at the correct temperature. Some were too hot and to wait to cool off. Great experience in terms of service and menu choices. We will be back and if you haven't been here yet, try it and see for yourself.

I wish I could give 0 stars this time. Walked in around 11pm on Memorial Day weekend at the bar area. Waited 10 minutes for a server to acknowledge us. My hubby had to call a server over. She acted like we were bothering her, and she did not say hello or welcome us. We still did not get served, although there were servers at tables next to us. We walked out and did not look back. Don't worry, TGI Friday's. I will not be coming back to spend my money. One of my pet peeves about some restaurants in the Montgomery County area is the rudeness and people acting like the "Walking Dead." Way to go to make customers feel unwelcome! I highly recommend people to not come here. I could not even get a server!

Review based on To Go order experience - I was on hold for a few minutes and then Renee took my order. Pleasant enough. When I got there the entrance was clean and the host was polite. My food was ready when I arrived and I was in and out in about 5 minutes. That was all great. I ordered the Jack Daniels Chicken with Mashed potatoes and broccoli. When I got to work to eat, I checked out the food and there was no JD sauce, the chicken looked a little well done and the broccoli was perfectly steamed. Unfortunately the chicken was only done on the outside and the broccoli had no flavor. And I couldn't eat the potatoes because I was unaware they were cooked with cheese (the online menu didn't mention that). And it would have been 10 minutes more to get a different side. Overall it was a disappointing experience. Especially because I love the JD sauce. Even if the broccoli has no flavor, it can be dipped into the JD sauce. Must learn to make that stuff myself. I will say that when I called and spoke to a manager I think his name was Robert, he was very nice and took care of it promptly. That I really appreciated. But as I don't live in the area, I can't say I'll be back.

This place is good if you're looking for a couple of drinks. Don't bother coming here if you're hoping to enjoy a game on the few, and small, TV's. Service is fairly quick and the food is good, but it's just a place. "Meh" at it's very best.

Literally every time I come here it is a disaster. I want to say "haha jk", but I have been here maybe four or five times and each time a tiny little piece of me dies. The staff is mainly teenagers and nobody seems to take much seriously. I guess because every day is Friday there. Basically, the underlying problem at this location, for me, has always been a strong lack of discipline with the staff and really poor situation management. One time, we made a reservation over the phone with a hostess for our friends birthday. Inexplicably, he wanted to go to TGI Fridays to celebrate. We arrived only to find out from (presumably) a different hostess that they don't take reservations, and that we don't know what we're talking about. Yeah, we must have called the Fridays in an alternate dimension where the staff knows what they are doing. They ended up seating the ten of us at two separate booths with a giant wall between them. We were forced to split our group in two. What a fun way to celebrate a birthday, by dividing their loved ones in half and shoving them into a couple of poorly cleaned booths. No apology for the inconvenience, no manager to calm us down- just the unrelentingly average experience of Fridays, with half as many people to commiserate with. Also, why can I not order a burger that isn't well done? Do their microwaves not have a setting for medium-rare? Incorrect food orders happens every time I go. I'm not one of those people who makes it a point to tell the server how "every time I come here they get my order wrong" because it probably won't stop them from screwing it up, and will probably just make them feel too awkward to come check on you after they inevitably screw your order up anyway. It really happens every time though. Probably the most fun part of coming to this restaurant is betting on which part of the meal they will get wrong, and having everybody win the bet because they mess up every course. This place is probably perfect for a younger crowd who hasn't figured out that you get what you pay for. If you just turned 21 and your overpriced Long Island is more important to you than your service or the quality of your food, this is definitely where you want to be. Not only are the Long Islands way overpriced, but those other two things don't even exist here. The best thing I can say about this restaurant is that they stopped coloring all over their uniforms with glitter pens. On the downside, now you can't tell immediately after walking in how immature and undisciplined this place is. You'll have to take a few steps over to the hostess stand to figure that out.

I only come here because the wife likes it. I hate it. There is no passion in this food. No skill in the preparation. It's like a bunch of microwave meals stacked against one another. Just soulless.

We live not even 10 min fro this location. Been craving the bacon mac n cheese balls so my hubby went and got me some and a Avocado BLT. Can you say GROSSSSSS...We had the balls in the anne arundelmal location and they were AMAZING. Here they were burnt and bitter. The BLT had noooo bacon. I love avocado and BLT's andthis was nasty. I don't give bad reviews but we are HIGHLY disappointed

I wish there was a way to give a zero star review. Two coworkers and I were in the area and decided to stop by for lunch. It was around noon and the restaurant did not appear very busy ( there were empty booths and tables). When we arrived we were asked to wait. OK we waited about ten minutes while two workers stood at the hostess stand talking then they finally said "oh are you ready to be seated"? We were ready when we came in. Once we were seated no one came by to take our order or give us menus. My coworker asked someone where our waiter was and he said she would be there in a minute. By this time its been another ten minutes and we decided just to leave rather than wait place an order and have the food take forever. I'll never come here again.

This is about fries and why they matter. I begin with a confession: TGIF's Sedona black bean burger is one of my top vegetarian indulgences. It's really good! Really! And this from the folks who bring you Jack Daniels branded ribs! I'm awfully grateful that TGIF brings its A-game to the vegetarian options. I've been to this location more than any other and have had a wide variety of strange service occurrences, everything from orders not being right to no silverware to inaccurate checks. So there's a good bit of disorganization here, but frankly everyone has been nice and nothing was ever really a problem. I've noticed the amount of fries has decreased over time. This to me is more serious. Consider: big chains have some really large margins. Think about the spread they earn on non-alcoholic drinks alone. The prices here are inching high-ward and that's okay so long as they are otherwise generous with the customer experience. For example, it's more okay to charge $3 for a soda if it has free refills, even if you don't get $3 worth, because it gives you the option to have more of what you enjoy. Fries are cheap. TGIF is not increasing its margins all that much by skimping. Yes I know that with their volume the little things matter. But it reveals that they're nickel and diming me. Fry quantity is a sign of good faith -- it says, yes, we're making a profit here, but you're not going to leave wanting more of this really cheap thing that you enjoy. Skimping on fries is subtracting quite a bit of enjoyment on my part for a very small increase in their profit. Bad move.

Went there tonight for my daughters one year old birthday. The waitress brought cake , her name is BETTY, and she told us they were too busy to sing to her. We were quite upset since she clearly didn't even ask because she is one and not a 13 year old. We have been there on Fridays when it's jam packed and they sing happy birthday over and over. The manager did say it was unacceptable but it was too late at that point as we were leaving . Betty you are a horrible waitress.

I came here with colleagues as a group of 10. I thought lunch came out a little slow since most of us ordered salads. Surprisingly, the people in our group who didn't order salads received their sandwiches and hot food quicker than we did. I thought my grilled chicken cobb salad was great; I don't like blue cheese but went with it anyway in the salad. Service is kind of weird. Our server was hard to hear and the others were a little too weirdly enthusiastic. At least we were able to get seated quickly.

Decided to give them another shot even though the service on my previous 3 visits had been terrible. Tonight I went in, waited 15 minutes and didn't even get acknowledged by a server. Saw several servers since we were right next to the server station. Walked out, but asked to speak to manager on way out. Manager didn't seem apologetic or concerned. Not again. Avoid at all costs unless you know a server who will take care of you.

This place is somewhat of a hidden gem, without the gem part. It's nestled off the side of Rte. 29, so it was years before I even knew it was here. let alone part of the convenient shopping center. That's kind of where it ends, though. First, the service is lacking. I've come here during a quiet Friday afternoon when the place was nearly empty and had the same inattentive service I've had on a hopping Friday night. Additionally, the servers aren't as polished as I'd expect. I still expect a certain level of service and quality to my interactions with people, regardless of what they might assume about me. I much prefer sitting at the bar area, which has an interesting set-up. The bar itself is in the middle of the room with the tables forming a horseshoe around it. It can be a bit awkward because you feel like if you look across the room you're staring at another table, but I think it offers a good measure of privacy among the parties on your side of room. The food is standard -- it's Fridays. I haven't had any terrible or amazing things to report about the food because I expect a baseline of quality that is usually hard to miss. Apparently they offer karaoke on Wednesdays ... sounds entertaining, but I think I'll pass.

The food is the average chain level food. The reason I go is for full bar and multiple tv to watch sports. The bartender behind bar is usually well train for a chain so I'm never worried about not being able to get a mix drink.

I went to Friday's on Sunday afternoon, inquired about a drink with the bartender, was quoted a price, however when the bill came it was a different price. Of course by this time that bartender was gone, so I asked for the manager. Maurice the supposed manager came out to speak with me and from the beginning he had an attitude. He spoke to me as if I was wasting his time, as if I was not a paying customer and he was not the manager. He offered no apology, no compensation and was a total asshole. I will never visit this location again and possibly never patron at Fridays again. There are plenty other places to watch the game and grab bar food.

All I can say is WOW. Terrible service. it took over 1 hour to get our food. The server (Dominque) was weeded the entire time in a 3 table section. After 30 mins he told us the kitchen made a mistake so we have to wait for our food to be cooked again. Man up and never blame the kitchen when u clearly forgot to ring in our food. This is the second time this has happened at this joint. Long story short I will never return to any Fridays if that is the standard the teach. The manager never once came to the table untill I had to get up and search for him. Shoulda went next door to chick filet.

Waited 20 mn. at a bar table (unbusy area!). Everyone around was getting service, we had no-one ask or acknowledge that we were even there! Finally got our own menus and mentioned lack of service to greeter... 5-10 more mn later no service! Were we the wrong color to warrent service? Sure makes you wonder! Finally walked out

The stars are purely for the young lady who was a wait staff - she was attentive, pleasant, and friendly. If you looked up as if you needed something, she acknowledges you -- a few times I said "oh I didn't need anything, I was just looking up and our eyes met". She surveyed the table and will fill whatever drinks we had without us asking. We wanted for nothing. We closed down the restaurant side of the TGI Fridays and our wait staff said "we are closing this side but you are more than welcome to transition to our bar section". We left her a big tip just because she was a good steward. I order a hot tea and a dessert; however, my friends order dinner... they enjoyed their food also - no one had to return their order.

This TGIF used to be a decent location for dinner but during renovations their service has greatly declined. It took 30 minutes to wait when there was nobody ahead of us and plenty of seats around. The waiter apologized for the wait but we waited 45 minutes before getting up and leaving because they have not even brought us our drinks yet.

The two stars are an aggregate of my experiences here because I've never had a bad time as I did a few nights ago. It was the typical evening crowd - pretty packed, but not really. Our server took our orders, but didn't bother to write them down. That was a warning sign for me; I've found that servers who don't write orders bring out bad orders (obviously) or just try too hard to seem as if they know everything. Both are terrible in my book. Sure enough, when everything came out - after about 20 minutes - they got my dad's order wrong. The guy who brought it out took it back but nothing happened until our server came around 10 minutes later to apologize. We waited around another 15 minutes for the correct entree to come out. Once we got the check, I saw that they had still charged us for the wrong entree! Let me say here that the last time a server got my order wrong, she didn't charge us for a drink as a way of making it up. This guy didn't even try to make such amends, and instead still left the incorrect order on there. I was already planning on leaving no tip, but this made it even easier. I honestly wanted to skip paying for an iced tea as well...

I am a business traveler and like to visit the big chain restaurants every now and than. I have come her three times so far and always sit at the bar. The food is exactly what you would expect at a chain restaurant so I can't say anything bad about what I have ordered. However, I will say they could do better on their service. It is not that it was so bad that I wouldn't come back but, it does teeter on a 2 to 3 star rating. If it wasn't for the bartenders genuine and friendly personality I would have given them a 2 star. I would suggest a better managerial approach because it seems like the staff is always in a panic or on the brink of chaos. Simply stated, there is no management organization. Fix that and you would have a 4 to 5 star rating.

Ive been here several times and sat at the bar and dining area. Bar experiences have always been good, they have always been busy at the bar area. The dining area has been a little slow at times but still okay. The food is standard to TGIF. Sometimes the food does look a little old and lazily put together. I think they should try to get the cooks to pay attention to orders (read reviews of orders being made wrong) and presentation. I'm giving this place two starts because of the food. My sister has a very mild shrimp allergy. She ordered the chicken and shrimp Alfredo without the shrimp, she always orders Alfredo everywhere she goes. Seemed easy enough but when the food arrived it came with shrimp. Because she had a very mild allergy she was able to pluck the small shrimps out of her dish and discard them. I actually ate a shrimp and I wasn't sure if it was cooked or not.. Scary. We aren't the type to complain at allll so we just went on with out meal. The manager came over semi frantically to ask how was everything. It seemed like he may have known they messed up. Being the non confrontational customer that my sister was, she just said yeah it was fine. If she had a severe allergy to shrimp or nuts or something and didn't see it and ate it they would have been in bigggggg trouble. My sister, and TGIF, lucked out that this wasn't a huge problem.

Wow, the bad reviews were right. I walked in on a very snowy Thursday around 5pm. The bar had quit a few people. I went up to the bartender and asked about the happy hour specials and she said no happy hour today!?!?! She seemed rather confused by that too. She double checked with the manager and he very rudely approached the bar, making no eye contact and told her no happy hour on any drink. Offered no explanation or apologies and walked off. This is my first one star review, and it was earned by the manager.

    (1)
  • James C.

The service is VERY slow, shows a lot when you hear the table next to you is getting a full refund waiting 1 HOUR for an entree. The food was good, I always eat the ribs. The server Ronnie (sp?), despite being new, had one of the best personalities I've ever encountered. If it weren't for his attitude, my overall rating would be a 1. Am not coming here again.

I mean I know it's Friday's, but the food was below average even for this chain restaurant. The chicken breasts on my meal were burnt...and my sizzling chicken and shrimp came out cold....really? My cousins petite sirloin was cooked to a crisp...I don't expect five star meals, but edible would be nice.

If I could select less than 1 star I would! The service and wait time is awful!!' 2.5 hours for my meal and the general manager refused to comp the bill... that we waited another 45 minutes for! We will NEVER return! Good luck if you venture to Friday's on Tech Road!

I would like to congratulate this TGI Friday's for having the WORST customer service of any chain restaurant that I've ever experienced. Just god-awful service. The waiters are slow, untrained and lack the social skills that most people in their field possess. If you ever find yourself at this TGI's location, you'll find it obvious that the staff is inexperienced and poorly managed. The wait staff is always fooling around constantly, while many are waiting long periods of time for their orders. Don't even think about ordering food to go by phone, you'll be there for hours because they'll forget about you. This was the third time I've been burned by this place, and I'm never going to return. The most shocking thing about this restaurant is how it gets any business.

  • Owen M.

Amazing food! The customer service was not so great. The food was delicious and the desserts were AMAZING. Our order was wrong, twice, and the hygiene wasn't the best. Other than those small flaws, it was incredible, and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who doesn't mind putting on a pound or a two.

First and last time I'll be coming here. I came for lunch and I have an hour to eat. There are hardly any customers seated and the bar has 2 or 3 patrons. It takes a few minutes for the bartender to approach me. She asks me what I'll have to drink and I ask for a water with ice. (She immediately wrote me off and this makes me boil). I came here to have lunch, I'm not looking to drink on my lunch hour and just because I wont be ordering alcohol doesn't mean that you should treat me any differently. I assume she believed I wouldn't tip as much. Boy was she right. Why am I ranting? 10 minutes later, a man sat two seats down from me and ordered a Grand Marnier margarita on the rocks, no salt. She reached out her hand, shook his, and introduced herself. (ARGH). A 3 course lunch was 12.99, unfortunately, the food was terrible. Where to start? I got the Spinach Flatbread. I think this just came out of the freezer because the middle was cold and the outsides were warm. Do they microwave this stuff? I had to wait for the burger to find out... I got the black angus cheeseburger. It was dressed nicely, with fresh veggies and crispy fries that were pretty well seasoned. When they didn't ask me how I wanted my patty done, I knew something was up. The meat was something straight out of a McDonald's heating tray. Cooked all the way through and processed. Just tasted like fast food. On to course three... Vanilla Bean cheesecake. This was probably the best part (other than the free water). The cheesecake was presented nicely (see pics) but was still half-frozen. I had to labor to get the fork all of the way through and I didn't bother to finish all of it. This adventure took me 56 minutes. Come on... no customers and one simple order takes one hour to bring everything out? Tragic. Half a star for each time they opened the door for me (on the way in and the way out). I will not be coming back.

My fiancé and I came here after to work to grab some dinner. Our waiter was awesome. He checked on us several times and made sure that we had our drinks. The issue was the cooks in the back getting my fiancé order correct. She ordered a Strawberry field salad with no cheese, no dressing. Ok...they bring out her order, it has dressing on it. We ask for another one. We get another one with dressing on the side.....and on the salad. We ask for another one. We get another one with no dressing but it's missing the walnuts and has PLASTIC ON IT!!! PLASTIC!!!! I'm going to pause right here.....who leaves plastic on the food. You hear about fish dies because of plastic thrown into the ocean...but given to humans as part of the food?! THAT'S CRAZY!!!!!!! Anyway, a manager comes to us and says that he will get us another one. He comes back and says that it'll be free and everything. What did they do?! GIVE US THE SAME SALAD THEY JUST GAVE US!!! But this time they pulled out the piece of plastic and poured walnuts on it. This guy made it seems like a new one was being made. I'm not an ass but he said "brand new salad" and it took like 10 mins to get back the "new" salad. Seriously...this sucked. Again, the server was cool (Burak...seriously..he's great)...but the cook staff and management have no INTEGRITY!!!

It took 2 hours for lunch! I have been here a few times with my coworkers. There is a girl there who is a bartender and works the high tops during lunch on most days for at least the past year. I think her name is Ayana (her name was on my last check but I know some places bartenders will only clock in under 1 name). She is truly the worst server EVER. As I have mentioned in my past reviews, I have worked as a server and I am pretty understanding because people have off days. Ayana always comes to the table after a good 5-10 minutes after you sit down. She NEVER smiles and always looks like she hates that fact that you are there eating and bothering her. She takes forever and always forgets at least 1 thing. Last time I went she charged me for a soda that I didn't get and completely forgot that I ordered desert. Worse is when I went up to her, she didn't even apologize for her mistake! Hey, you made the mistake not me. The MOST DISGUSTING thing that she did, which made me write this review, is she was rubbing her eye the WHOLE TIME she was talking to me when she brought me my new check. DISGUSTING! Something was wrong with her right eye and it was like shut, but she kept rubbing it. This is a BIG no no and totally grossed me out. And she never got me my dessert, I had to ask the manager to bring it out. WORST WAITRESS/BARTENDER EVER!

Good experience. Waited in the entry for a while for my companion to show, and observed the hosts/servers during that time. VERY YOUNG - were told by the manager to behave better, but didn't really help. The server was friendly and upbeat. Unfortunately, the Blue Moon beer did not come with its orange slice, and the potato skins that we requested without bacon came with indentations of the bacon. But otherwise, content with the service.

Jack Daniels burgers. I love em. Kids eat free Tuesdays. Love that, too. We went on a Tuesday and my little sassy girl also got a (free) very beautiful glittery unicorn painted on her cheek. Seriously impressive face painter. The downside is that if you get seated in the big middle bullpen of tables, as I did with my family one night, you will be sitting buttcheek to buttcheek with vocal babies and their apathetic parents. I am very sympathetic to parents having a rough time while trying to eat out and parents who try to get their kids to sit still, but if you obviously don't care that your child is wailing, then you get nothing but the hairy eyeball. The other downside to this place is that you might get blessed with a server who doesn't understand basic subtraction. Kids eat free means you subtract the kid's meal off the bill. And if the bill is $7.10 and I give you $10.10, that means you give me back $3. Our poor server was so confused. So be ye warned. Ask for a booth and double check the math.

Not bad, but not good either. Maybe because it was late, and maybe individuals wanted to go home, and just maybe because it was a holiday weekend, I don't know? But my experience here was just a little bit under okay. Food was cool, it was the service that was only subpar: Dude did a decent job with him having to cover lots of tables and the bar. But it was the other bar tender that messed up the deal. She was somewhat rude but somehow was able to combine rude and customer service in one, I guess you could call it "sarcasm," and being sarcastic in customer service is something in my opinion that is not needed. Wow, this was a tough review for me.. My advice, proceed with caution!

I had a great time. Party of 12 and the one waitress was on point the whole time, with drinks and food. And the 2 for 10 is not a bad deal. Ended up taking my food home

From previous visits service had been very good. Today our server (Liza) was terrible. After being seated it took a good 5 minutes before she arrived to take our order. After another 5 minute or longer wait our drinks arrived. Where was our appetizer? The place was not that busy. Finally our entrees arrived brought out not by our server. I mentioned to him we hadn't received our appetizer. He seemed confused and promised to find out what happened. He returned and was apologetic telling us the appetizer would be out soon. I told him to wrap it to go. Liza made a couple of visits but my wife was livid and told her and the guy who brought our food (her supervisor?). She never asked if we wanted drink refills. I was surprised we did get a discount off the check. I didn't expect that. Maybe management knows Liza doesn't want to work there. Why is she working there? My wife and I won't go back. Too bad. Beware if she is your server.

Co-workers and I, retired and those still working, meet here every other month to socialize. The food is typical TGIFriday fare. It is good. I am writing this particularly because of the amazingly friendly atmosphere at this Tech Road establishment. I often wonder what it takes for Management to foster a pleasant environment for customers AND EMPLOYEES. This place has hit that sweet spot and they do it over and over and over. I take my hat off to the Tech Road mgmt. They got it right. And the employees are always welcoming. It is a pleasure to eat there. Plenty of options around that area. I will always choose this TGIFridays when in the area. This is the TGIFridays at Tech Road in Silver Spring, Md.

I'm only giving this place three stars because Sequoia, my waitress, was pretty attentive and very much on point! Apparently, they thought it a good idea to have trivia night during one of the Laker games(2/23) *bright* Anyway, the trivia dude sucked. He was very dry, and didn't seem happy to be working. Lucky me, I got to sit right next to him...and his speakers. :-/ As for the atmosphere, it was a lot less crowded for me b/c I came in at the tale end of happy hour. However, if you are planning on getting in at the bar/bar area(which is the ONLY place the happy hour prices apply), you'd better plan on getting there right at the beginning (4-7) It's a great place to watch a game. Plenty of tv's. The drinks are nicely priced, with a healthy amount of alcohol. I didn't get any food this particular night, but I usually can't complain. Guess it all depends on what you're in the mood for....*definitely wasn't in the mood for a dry-ass trivia dude in my ear, that's for sure*.

Go here for a steak.. I think TGIF is a bit expensive, unless you get a special of some sort, but their steaks are really good and usually cooked to my taste. I've had a few other items off the menu, that's good. We live around the corner, so we have eaten here many many times and for how many times we have been here, we for the most part have had a great experience. The staff is really friendly, and there isn't a weird vibe or nothing. Relaxed, and the drinks are yummy as well. I recommend this Fridays, it's not off the chain like Rockville, but at times it is, but it's good if you just want to go out on a Friday night and chill. I personally do like Ruby's a little more, because they throw in the salad bar and it's a bit more quiet, especially if you are on a date... but Fridays is around the corner and I recommend it.

I'm not sure if I entered a restaurant or night club. I entered the restaurant around 9:30 PM after a long day at work. I was by myself so I just went straight for the bar for a quick bite to eat. The music was blaring through the cheap ceiling speakers. I say cheap because they couldn't handle the heavy bass of the music and sounded strained. Normally I wouldn't care but tonight I was tired and not in the mood to have to yell my order to the waitress because the music was so loud. I've never been to a TGIF's that operated this way. Service was terrible. It took 15 minutes to get my beer from the time I gave my order to the waitress. It was surprisingly packed but it's almost like a social club than restaurant. Maybe because this town doesn't have much to offer in the way of an alternative night life to D.C. and TGIF is convenient. Whatever, just get me my Jack Daniels burger, I'll eat in peace, and never come back to this TGIF location again.

I have been to this location for the last 2 days for lunch. Both servers were extremely nice and got me in and out. Just what I needed for a quick lunch and back to work. I was pleasantly surprised by the host/hostess as I walked in. Both times someone was at the front door holding it open as I entered and as I left! Not expected for a restaurant in and around DC. Kudos to all the staff at this location and thank you for making feel like I would certainly want to come again. The food is typical, but I truly appreciate the service at lunch!!! And I did show it in my tip. Aisha was particularly attentive. Thanks. Will be back.

Visited here several times, pretty good wait staff and food. Can't beat the specials they have 2 for $10 appitizer and entree, plenty of drinks and laid back environment. Their menu is constanty evolving, new food and drink selections!

I like this location. Service is consistent, and food is consistent. The bar area is usually pretty empty, and I can always find a seat. I really like how clean the restrooms are here.

Usually I love going to TGIF just to chill and have some drinks, but this was the first time I've been to this particular location. The silver springs location is pretty dead, boring and on top of that the SERVICE sucks. If it wasn't for the convenience of my friend that I went with I would've left and go to another location. I WOULDN'T recommend this location to anyone. An DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT get OP as your bartender!!!!!!

This review is for the BAR and Happy Hour. Ok, ok, I know I am definitely biased. My roommates and I come here around twice a month because it's close to our house and has a pretty good happy hour. The bartenders are SO nice and will always make you something special. Sometimes it gets really crowded, but usually we can find seats at the bar (there can be up to 4 of us that go) if no seats at the bar, we can always find a table in the bar area. When they have the 2 for $10 or 3 courses special it's perfect to share and a great deal. With that being said, YES it is a TGIFridays. So...could they have healthier options? Sure. We would love that sometimes. But the bartenders and staff here are so great I just can't knock a star off.

I have never experienced service as poor as the bartenders at this Fridays. They acted as if they were annoyed that customers were present, after they took almost ten minutes to acknowledge that we sat down. They were not attentive to customers, short with their responses, and we even noticed they were eating while working further distracting them from their job. We will NOT return.

Flashback to 1979. My first visit ever to a T.G.I. Friday's back in Southfield, Michigan. I was just a scrawny pre-teen and restaurant dining wasn't something my family did on a regular basis. Friday's was new and fresh back then. Their menu looked like a leather bound dictionary. I thought it was the coolest place I'd ever been too. (I led a pretty sheltered life!) The menu was huge, like Cheesecake Factory. Of course I don't remember what I had, but I know it took us a while to peruse their menu. The following year I'm in London for my Nana and Granddad's 50th Anniversary party. My mom and I are in Covent Garden, and there's a Friday's!!! I dragged my mom in because I hated British food, with the fatty meats and steak and kidney pies everywhere. Flash forward to 2008. So, I am a grown up now, and just like Santa Claus, the thrill is gone now. T.G.I Friday's is so ordinary now. However, last night out of convenience to the nearby Target, my neighbor and I went here for dinner. She really wanted a salad and we knew this was a better choice than nearby Mo's. Long and the short (after my trip down Memory lane): not bad food at all! My friend ordered their new slider's (Everybody's serving them these days) and a Caesar salad. I had a Tuscan Portobello Mushroom Melt. It was really good folks! It was made with chopped, grilled portobello mushroom pieces, melted provolone and Monterrey jack cheeses, tomatoes and onions on toasted white bread. Best yet, it was accompanied by a cup of hot, fire-roasted red pepper soup. Service was quick and friendly. Three stars for being ordinary, plus one thrown in for nostalgia.

3 stars for the food. 2 stars for the service. We visit this location about once a month since they do send out pretty good coupons through their TGIFriday's club (you can sign up on their website...no charge to do so!). The food is generally pretty good. It's the typical American fare. The service; however, is either hit or miss, generally has been a miss though. There also seems to be a miscommunication among the hostesses, especially when it's busy and they are on a wait.

Food was eh. We told the waitress to split the check, and she was so stupid, she charged us both the FULL amount. So it was $80 bucks a piece. She could not admit to it and sent the manager over who tried to make us feel better for initially paying $160 for some cheap bar food and a few drinks. Almost a week later I finally get half my money back.

Service was good, meals were fresh and well portioned. We ate here twice dinner with steaks and dinner were hot and delivered promptly. Another trip for lunch consisted of salads and pasta, and was equally good and fresh.

Sloooow!! I tried to have a late lunch here. It wasn't even that crowded. After 20 minutes of sitting, and placing my menu down (so it didn't look like I was still undecided).. I LEFT. No one came over to even offer me a drink. I guess the host forgot to mention to the waitress that a new customer had arrived? The same host offered little to no apology either on my way out the door.

Went to TGIF's for a company dinner. We had a large party but the service was quite slow. Had to ask several times for refills and then wait for the drinks to come. We did have 2 servers for our table, but they didn't seem to be able keep up with our requests. Food was just OK, typical chain food. Would probably find somewhere else to eat the next time I stay in this area.

The food at this location is better than Greenbelt, so we go here. Most of the servers are nice and good enough, but we had one recently, short black female, very rude and inattentive. Most times I go there I get a 4 experience, the prospect of getting her once in a while makes it a 3

DO NOT EAT HERE! I think the only reason this location stays in business is because of the popularity of the name. Slowest service ever accompanied by overpriced bland american food at its worst. I am sure you can find something decent on the menu but the prices will not match and the service will have you feeling as though the meal should have been on them. Our waitress had no idea about any the drinks or foods we asked her about-she stated to us she had been working there for 4yrs-that was no big deal-we let that slide BUT it took her 45minutes to bring water and oops she forgot the water and just brought a glass with ice in it. She let us know she would be right back with a bottled water..she came back with a soda for my friend and forgot the water. Half an hour after that..the bottled water arrived around the same time the food did-after appetizers and all-she forgot all the substitudes on the main meals we asked for. She brought every meal out at different times. As you looked around -it was the laziest slowest service all around I have ever seen. Management needs to step up here. The 6.00 bowl of soup is about 3-4 slurps. You would think the portion would be bigger than the side soup but its the same. The french onion soup tasted like salt soup with canned onions dumped in and a clump of processed cheese attempted to be melted on top. Go down the street to Panera bread and less you will get a bowl three times the size with more quality ingredients. HORRIBLE FRIDAYS LOCATION! My co-workers have eaten here many times since its the only thing around and they complain about it every time after coming back to work. IT WILL TAKE HOURS FOR YOUR FOOD TO ARRIVE!

It's a Friday's right? So as far as a place to go for drinks, this one works. There aren't really other options in the immediate area for happy hour. Must be why this place was PACKED. The bar area had every seat filled and we didn't feel like standing, so we got a table in the restaurant. Happy hour prices do not carry over from the bar, but we thought it would be worth it to not have to stand. Besides, it looked really squished in there - no thank you. Now that I think about it, I was squished pretty much anytime I got up. I literally bumped into several people going to and from the restroom both times I visited (yes, I have a small bladder). Plus the servers are rushing around frantically so you're bound to get a plate of nachos in your face. DISCLAIMER: I did not actually get a plate of nachos in my face nor did I witness this. Anyhow, the mojito was pretty tasty. Hard to find places with the ingredients to make them. We also had the spinach dip with chips. Be aware that if you order an "ultimate" drink, it means a size bigger than a "regular". (Nowhere did I see this on the menu.)

I'll try to start on a positive note! :) The waiter was friendly and good considering the circumstances. The Silver Spring location was extremely busy due to the power outage. I ordered the Pan-Seared Parmesan Flounder. I think they forgot to add the flounder, all I got was a overcooked pile of burnt parmesan breading. My rating was solo based on the Pan-Seared Parmesan Flounder. My husband ordered the ribs and they were really good. My advice, stay clear of the Pan-Seared Parmesan Flounder (or make sure you tell the waiter/waitress to add the flounder), order the ribs and you will not be disappointed!

The restaurant is convenient and that is about it. The bar was open on a Saturday evening, but sitting there turned out to be a mistake. I have no problem with bartenders coughing, but when you cough into your hands wipe your nose and put limes in Corona bottles I find it disgusting. I thought most people would wash their hands. I wish I would have sat at a table and been ignorant that this was happening. I would have complained to a manager, but they were both standing at the end of the bar watching it happen.

I ate here with my mom the day after my 22nd birthday , also April 5 the day before I got married and received the same crappy waiter , the day after my birthday I just had enough , I came in around 1 and it wasn't crowded by 1:30 the lunch time rush came in , that acceptable , but not receiving drinks or refills , or even appetizers( had to get my appetizer remade was cold you could tell it was sitting in the back for awhile) was unacceptable there was a nice hostess who works the front door that helped us Ronald Howard I think his name was , well after complaining to the manager about the service I received twice with the same person he nicely comped my food and even alcoholic beverages and even gave me a 25$ return card to come again, don't no if I will be going back . But you can't turn down a free meal .. Thanks Ron for helping us out , I would probably still be sitting there hungry if it wasn't for you

1.5 stars maybe Wife and I are in this Friday's location on this particular day, a Sunday afternoon around 1:30, with all the parking lots filled up due to really bad snow removal from the blizzard of 2010. We came here after the IHOP was full to capacity and this place wasn't overly busy at all with a decent but not overwhelming crowd. Very few people in the bar area in which we sat. Why oh why is it taking soooo long why oh why are we not told the status or situation with the delay, when asked all I get is a response of head tilt with a shrug "bissht, well they are ahead of you so...." no apology, no explanation, no nothing. Humph.... I'm not being overly demanding or a pain in the neck, but wife and I have been sitting here for about 50 mins now after we had ordered our meals and total of about an 1 hr 20mins. I know cause the time was showing on the many of the TVs showing various sporting games all around the bar area. We aren't the only ones waiting a very loooong time others around us were also waiting just as long or longer. What the hell?!? How hard is it to cook or micro wave up some lunch time food... well almost close to dinner time by now. What is going on maybe we should just pay for our two drinks and leave go over to Five Guys greasy burgers or neighboring Panera Bread. But wife is settle in and really hungry me I'm hungry but getting more perturb as the minutes tick away. Finally the food comes out slowly at first then more rapidly the surrounding tables get theirs first. One table has a problem well multiply problems, they ask to speak to a manager. Waiter speaks to table and to manager he removes certain items off their bill. Still the manager should have went around to them to make sure everything was in order with them just out of courtesy. Looks like manager is running around like crazy maybe the cook got mad and walked out or something. Two servers are having a noticeable and loud disagreement over by the bar. They should take that to the back not have it out here on "front street". Whoa!?!?! my sweet potato fries must have just come out of the fridge and my Italian chicken sandwich must have just been nuked quickly cause the chicken is room temp and the cheese on top is scolding hot. Wife's food is a bit warmer but not by that much. We should have ordered a couple of cold club sandwiches, maybe it would have come out a few minutes sooner.... maybe not. I'm not sending it back I saw the movie "Waiting" I know what happens in the back of these places. Very mediocre food tasted like it came out of a box from the frozen food section of the grocery store but we didn't expect much hey it's "Fridays" that's to be expected in these kinds of places. What is not expected is pretty disappointing service; slow, inattentive, cavalier attitudes, leaving people waiting long periods of time and wonder what's going on (just tell us when asked I can handle the truth), order mix ups (the other table). No offer was made for a free desert or appetizer voucher on our next visit, like what happen at the Rockville location a while back. There it was just as slow and lame but at least the waiter checked on us kept us inform that problems were occurring in the kitchen, he made amends and apologized and gave us free drinks on top of the voucher. Here I was lucky not to get charged for a Coke thanks but come on guys look at it from a customers point of view then you'll understand what we see or don't see. This is why I must give this location of Friday's only one star. Sorry guys but you really blew donkey kokachin, a serious cluster flub must have been happening in the unseen by the public sections but there is no excuse for not keeping people informed and advised and sending out cold food that should be hot. Maybe the food just sat back there on the ready counter, not even under a heat lamp the whole time all backed up for whatever lame reason. It's not like they were slammed with people super busy by any normal standards. I just hate to see what it was like later that evening cause it was Valentines day. Oh and before you start I did take wife out later that evening for V-day with all the frills okay, I'm not that cheap and dull.

i Went there last night to have dinner with my wife and the service was horrible. The waitress was prompt on the first set of drinks and appetizers but from there on out she would ignore us. We got our food about 30 min after we recieved our appetizer only to have my pasta served cold. I asked her to please have the cooks warm it up, so she took it too the back and I didnt ever get my food back after that. By the time my wife finished eating I wasnt even hungry anymore so I politely told her to not worry about it and to take it off the check. She took another 10 minutes to do that I then gave her my card to charge which took another 10 minutes. During the time I asked her to have the cooks warm up the food she would help every other customer except us, from bringing them new drinks to there entreee as well. After all this I login to my back account and see that she charged me 15.00 extra on a $20.00 tab. I will be returning today to speak to the manager.

I went here for a quick lunch before heading to DC. It took a while (5-10 mins) for the waitress to take our drink order. She was friendly but the restaurant didn't seem THAT busy. The food came out. My fried shrimp were okay but the batter on them was a little soggy ( not the Fridays shrimp I'm used to). My boyfriends burger was okay, he didn't complain. Half way through eating, our waitress dropped a cup of dressing which splashed on both me and my boyfriend. It was not ALOT, but enough to speckle my arm, legs, and table with Italian dressing. I looked for an extra napkin and another waitress handed me a disinfectant cloth they use to clean tables. No apology. Even when the waitress came back, no apology. if it was just my arm, that's one thing but it splashed to where our food was. I love seasoning my food with a strangers used dressing. Definitely not the best Fridays experience!!

Went in there last Saturday night to sit at the bar and calm down after getting assaulted at a gas station (that's another whole story, but lets just say the woman behind me didn't think I left her enough space to get out even though I pulled forward for her after she honked 3 times--she literally got out of her car and chest bumped me: yes, I called the police). Anyway, I was sitting at the bar and had just gotten my drink, nothing special, hadn't even picked it up to get a sip, and the bartenders/jokers behind the bar thought it would be funny to try their "Cocktails" moves. Out of nowhere a bottle of vodka came winging through the air at me, hits my drink, shatters my drink, shatters the bottle, vodka everywhere, including all over me. What the HEL! ?? The bottle nearly knocked me in the head! Will I ever go back there? NO? Did they offer to comp me a meal? NO! Kind of beside the point because I wouldn't have gone back there, but still...its the principle. They did try to replace my drink, which I didn't want, I just wanted to get out of there, so they gave me a bottle of water to go. If you must go there, I don't recommend sitting at the bar.

The Tech Road, Silver Spring (#2036) location is the worst TGI Fridays I have ever been to. I should not have to even waste my time doing this, but I believe too much of my time was wasted last night by the Restaurant Manager, Mike Fitz. We were picking up carry-out for a fairly large order because my sister in law and their family had arrived after a long drive with their 18 month old. We were told on the phone the order would be ready in 20 minutes. We left out house to pick up the order and arrived in about 20 minutes. Greeted at the door, the host said it would be a couple of minutes and the food was almost ready. I gave them my card to pay, along with a coupon for 25% off the meal. They said they cannot accept it because it was for dine-in only. A few days prior, the restaurant had accepted my coupon so I asked to see a manager. Mike Fitz came out and said he cannot accept it unless we were dining in. I told him we come frequently and he said we can dine in and take a seat - and I told him if we take a seat, we will need to box it up to bring it back home to our family. So he seated the two of us (my brother in law and myself). We waited patiently, but nobody came to see us. After another half hour, I asked the host about our food. They seemed to smile or laugh - as if their manager had told them to make us wait. I honestly felt bad for the employee because they were caught in the manager's games. He said he would check on it. He called Mike again, and I told Mike that they said our food would be ready over half an hour ago. He said, "Oh, relaly??" and laughed. By now, I was tired of these games. We sat back down and waited. I grabbed his card, and I think he saw me and knew I would report him to corporate. The food suddenly was brought to our table. Then a different employee (an African American female) apologized for the wait, gave us an $8 off coupon, and took my credit card. We waited another 15-20 minutes and wondered if they were holding us hostage at that point. It felt like a used car dealer. She came back and said she cannot accept the coupon still - because she would need to re-ring the order. I told her to just ring us up at full price. Congratulations to Mike Fitz, he has won. Another carry-out customer who came in right after us was extremely upset about how long he had to wait and quoting him, he was "about to lose it." I told him I don't blame him - and this is a very poorly run location. I will NEVER go back to Fridays. I will also post this experience on every social media web site I can find to warn others of the games they play here. When we got the food home, of course, it was cold. It was soggy. The to-go boxes had moisture inside them and the food was disgusting. We threw it away and instead went out to a different chain. We now know NEVER to go to TGI Fridays on Tech Road in Silver Spring, Store #2036. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I have family members in the restaurant industry as well - so I rarely complain when things go wrong. But this was an immature game by the manager and I do NOT play games. I do NOT waste my time so teenage managers can feel better about themselves. This disgusts me.

I don't have a problem with this location. Yes, if you use the restaurant, the food is mediocre, the help is indifferent, and often assumes your change constitutes their tip. But the bar is reasonably priced and the wings are great. It's even more reasonable when you consider TGIF has a half-price happy hour from 4-7 throughout the week and offers more specials than any area bar I've ever seen. Given Montgomery County's absolute determination to keep its citizens dry, this place has a lot going for it.

I had actually planned to write a good review for this place. My family and I live close by and frequent the IHOP in the same shopping center. We had never tried this Fridays. A month ago my husband and I had a date night without the kids and went here for dinner. All was good. Fast seating, nice waitress, food came quickly and was good. So we liked the place. A week later we took our 2 boys (ages 5 and 13) there for dinner. Same great experience, different people working. The sangria is fabulous. Last night we went there with our 2 boys and my father-in-law. We called ahead to check the wait time, the lady told my husband she would put us on the wait list and it would be about a 15 minute wait. When we got there 6 people were working the front and they were all pissed off that someone on the phone told us that, or acted like we might be making it up... because they don't take reservations. Then they told us it would be 20 minutes. We waited 40 minutes and then we inquired as to why we were still waiting and 10 parties that came after us had already been seated..... wth?? We had seen 2 parties of 5 leave as well. They said it was because of the size of our party and that they didn't want to give us a wrong estimation of when we would actually be seated. Ummmmmm..... you already did! And we have been waiting double what you said.... I don't mind waiting on a Friday night to get seated, especially knowing that we always have 4 to 6 of us to be seated. But what really got to me was the whole bad experience and the mis-information given up front. If they had told me it was going to be a 45 minute to an hour wait, we would have left as we did not want that long of a wait time on this particular evening. So, we left and went to IHOP, where we had a wonderful experience as always. Seated right away and hot food fast. I think the difference between the first 2 good experiences and the bad one last night was the lack of management presence. The first 2 times we were there, we saw the manager going around, checking in with the guests. We saw him up front too. The entire time we were waiting last night, we never saw him. It just seemed over staffed and inefficient. Don't know if we will go back after this, we have 4 kids (ages 5, 13, 20 & 21), and usually when we go out there are 6 of us..... if it takes them that long to seat larger parties it seems we will always have to wait forever to get seated. Doesn't seem fair....

About TGI Friday

TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The restaurant serves alcoholic beverages primarily. However, they are also known for their low-carbohydrate and low-fat menu items to promote a healthy lifestyle. TGI Friday also offers gluten-free items on its menu for those with gluten intolerance.

Besides the cool name, TGI Friday also has an interesting background story of its origin. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.
